Pearl necklaces and curse words

Marissa. I'm 19, a liberal, a Catholic, a penguin enthusiast and an avid pepsi drinker. I'm also social relations and political theory major with a minor in Women and Gender Studies at Michigan State University. This blog is mostly feminism, history, politics, A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones, random shit from my life, various fandoms, attractive middle aged men and things I find amusing. Stephen Dillane is my sun and stars. I usually follow back :)

I like to think that the moderate part of the Republican party, the part that’s not super into primaries, wouldn’t vote for Santorum. The female part, at the very least. But maybe the party as a whole is just moving more and more to the right.

I think the base is more far-right in response to the “scary black socialist.”

But i think that if the Republican party is going to cease to exist, it’s because of the radical right-wing base. Some of the female of this base will vote, one of our local news affiliates was doing a story on how the stay at home moms in Michigan apparently love Santorum (i’d love to see their data).

I guess my thing is if he can convince people that he is the true conservative then he has a shot to slip by and beat Romney.

But if I had to put money on it, i’d say it’s Romney at the convention.
